Cleats, shin guards, soccer balls....oh my!

Today was Gavin's 1st official day as a member of a team sport! Wow, this is the first of many years of fun out on the fields. I can't wait to see what his favorite will be. This is beginning soccer skills so I don't think we will have any games this go around. The coaches are awesome and I think it is going to be great. I think Gavin loves all the gear as much at getting out onto the field. The day we went shopping for everything he wore it all home and actually slept with the shin guards on! Crazy boy loves to get dressed up. He and Hudson both have had fun "going to soccer practice" in our front room. It's very cute. We look forward to hitting the fields every wed morning for the next 8 weeks.

He's my new favorite pet....

We would like to introduce the newest member of our family, Harley. He is Gavin's new pet guinea pig. Gavi decided he wanted a new pet, so we began trying to decide what would fit into all the craziness around here. After a few trips to the pet store a guinea pig seemed like the best choice. He is just the right size, loves to be held, and eating lot's of fun things like carrots, oranges, and lettuce. The boys r in love with him! Here a a few pics of the two of them setting up the cage. It was quite a histerical process. A big thank you to Grandma and Grandpa for the b-day money that helped Gavi get Harley:)

"My four is all gone!"

We had a fun sleepover at the Franchina's on friday night. We were all excited to get up Saturday so we could go to Frankie's 1st football game. While we were getting everyone dressed Gavi really wanted his "football player stuff" he really needed to get ready. So thank goodness Aunt Terri had an extra jersey. By the time we got to the game he was so excited. Before I knew it he had run out onto the field flipflops and all to play football! It was so adorable, but I was not sure what the coach would think. So instead of chasing him we decided to let him have his glory day! He got to warm up with the team...oh...I felt so proud! I wish Daddy could of seen this it was happening so fast:) After warm up I thanked the coach and had him tell Gavin it was time to come off the field. As we were sitting there watching the game he kept saying he wanted to play. We explained he had to be 5. A few minutes later he said "Mom, guess what? My 4 is all gone I'm 5 now" It was so precious he made my heart melt. The Broncos really gave Gavin the royal treatment and we will never forget his first moment on the sacred football field!
